The car seat's SMARTSecure System combines auto-retracting LATCH connectors and a visual indicator that turns from red to green, providing a simple and accurate installation process. The front-adjust, no-rethread harness with integrated side impact protection, as well as a one-handed release from both the VISTA and CRUZ strollers, deliver a seat that effectively pairs safety with simplicity.
The MESA V2 is suitable for infants weighing 4–35 lbs and up to 32" in height. It includes an infant insert, wedge, and low harness position, which are recommended for preemies and smaller newborns weighing 4–11 lbs. The updated fit inlay optimizes infant body positioning for improved comfort and support.
Weighing under 10 lbs, the MESA V2 features soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking carrier fabrics that keep babies cool and comfortable. The adjustable headrest, with its increased size for greater head containment, enhances side impact protection. The no-rethread harness adjusts seamlessly with the headrest, ensuring a secure and customized fit.
The carrier's carry handle includes a stroller release button, and a new 4th anti-rebound handle position provides increased safety in rebound and rear-impact collisions. Storage pockets for harness buckles and a larger UPF hideaway canopy (20% larger than the current MESA) offer additional convenience and sun protection.
The MESA V2 attaches directly to the VISTA and CRUZ strollers without adapters, allowing for a seamless transition from car to stroller. It is also compatible with the Minu and Ridge strollers when using the appropriate adapters.
For a more secure installation without the base, the MESA V2 features European Routing, which secures the carrier at three points of contact to reduce movement. Additionally, the simplified one-crotch buckle position minimizes guesswork when adjusting the harness.
The MESA V2 is made with fabrics that are free of fire retardant chemicals, and it is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, supporting healthier air quality and low chemical emissions.
